Weird

I am reading a book by Anthony Horowitz called Snakehead. There are these bad mafias called Snakeheads and Alex Rider has to save the coast and eight different people’s lives while keeping his own.

Alex starts the book by parachuting into Australian waters. ASIS then decides to recruit him to find out about the Snakeheads. After a while, Alex gets captured by Major Yu and almost get’s used as a organ factory. However he escapes and finishes his mission. There is a giant connection to our class because in the book, Alex is also reading Animal Farm by George Orwell.

This is a rather good book and I would recommend the entire series for adventure readers.

Intriguing…What does Alex think of Orwell’s book? How does Horowitz make use of Animal Farm in Snakehead?

I’ve read a couple of Alex Rider novels, and I enjoyed them very much.

    Hi Matthew
I really enjoyed the Alex Rider series too and my library has had to buy multiple copies for the students. Have you any suggestions about what they should read after the finish the series?
Is your class studying Animal Farm together? What do you think of it?
