Ring. Ring. The telephone just rang. I ran to get it and as soon as I heard the robotic voice, I frowned, and told my parents the bad news. I’m just going to put it out for you right now. I detest them.
I wish they would never have to cancel school. But our school needs funding from the state so we are stuck in school for another few days. So now it’s the first time I’ve seen a test have to be rescheduled twice! I’ve never had a year like this. At my old elementary school. Even when it snowed, we still had school and we were allowed to go outside to play. We didn’t even have a late start.
So now I’ve lost not one, but two days of break. No break on president’s day, and we lost a day of summer! Can you believe that? Why don’t they just take a day off spring break? Can’t they just install snow or all weather tires for the busses?
Most kids are happy that they get to have a free day to play games or sleep more, but I just get all my homework done and study for the tests. I sometimes like school because then I get to learn some new things and have fun. To me, school is sometimes like a giant playground of learning. It’s true, some of the teachers are mean but they end up being nice in the end.
Snow Days feel like a waste of time, and money. It also messes up lots of people’s summer plan. I dislike snowdays.
Hey Matt, my name is Matt as well and I as well dispose snow days. Snow days are a waste especially during a test, you spend the whole night studying and it ends up you could have studied the snow day. Then there’s the fact that when you get back to school you have to do the school work from the snow day and the present day work usually ends up being homework. And why do they have to take mother natures work out on us it’s not fair. My least favourite part about snow days is that you don’t get to see your friends. I think if you expanded your blog a bit more with other frustrating topics of why snow days bother you your blog would be a hit. This blog is very interesting! I like how you chose this idea to write your blog about. I think you could have created a title that is more unique and no one else could easily think of. Snow Days as a title is basic, we want a title that says “WOW!”. For me, I love snow days. I feel it is a great way to get more organized, maybe do some cleaning in your bedroom, catch up on homework, relax or anything else you feel like doing! When my school has snow days, I usually sleep some more, maybe watch a movie, read a book, listen to music and watch some extra televison. Or if I have homework, than I work on that. The possibilities are endless! You could have also talked a little more about the topic.
It’s true that you can gets stuff done on snow days But for me — especially on what was supposed to be a test day, it’s frustrating.
Snow days are annoying because we have to have school on Good Friday. It is fun to have snow though
