In PE, our class has been learning to play volleyball. Our class has learned to set, serve (underhand and overhand), pass, and spike. A set is when you use your fingers to hit the ball into the air. Serves are the best part of playing the game. Passes and spikes are very hard and they can hurt your forearm. When we were done with learning how to play, my arm was red and ached with pain.
Soham asked me how many fingers he was holding up – 4 but he was trying to hold up 2. That’s how hurt some of our hands/arm/wrist were. Finally we got to play a 6 on 6 game in class. Most of the time, we would just serve and serve and only the server would ever do something. Soooo boring (unless you’re the server). I hope that we will be-able to have a sustaining game so that everyone can do something.

Matthew,
I can tell you are still having lots of fun at the volleyball court.

Mom
Yes Mom, I am.
Matthew
I think it’s great that y’all are learning the basics of the sport. I do remember the initial pain of learning to play, and I sympathize!
